{ "description": "
Globally, HIV/AIDS is one of the most profound developmental challenges faced in the human
\nhistory. Despite the fact that the epidemic is affecting almost all development sectors, it is widely
\nasserted that the education sector has been profoundly affected. The effects of the epidemic on
\nthe education sector are complex.
\nIn its current disposition, education remains the most human intensive public sector in Ethiopia.
\nCumulatively, the sector has a total of 17,413,176 students, 314,524 teachers and more than
\n80,000 non-teaching staff (constituting a total of more than 24% of the country’s population).
\nMitigating the effects of HIV/AIDS on the education sector is especially important, since this
\nsector trains all public servants. Moreover, it is crucial to provide all concerned at different
\nlevels with some research based and up-dated data on the effects of HIV/AIDS on the education
\nsector and interventions to mitigate the epidemic for evidence based prevention, control, and care
\nand support programs
", "license": "http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by", "creator": [ { "@type": "Person", "name": "Takele Menna" } ], "headline": "DISSERTATION FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN PUBLIC HEALTH, ADDIS ABABA UNIVERSITY, ETHIOPIA", "image": "https://zenodo.org/static/img/logos/zenodo-gradient-round.svg", "datePublished": "2015-08-01", "url": "https://nadre.ethernet.edu.et/record/1721", "@context": "https://schema.org/", "identifier": "https://doi.org/10.20372/nadre:1721", "@id": "https://doi.org/10.20372/nadre:1721", "@type": "ScholarlyArticle", "name": "DISSERTATION FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN PUBLIC HEALTH, ADDIS ABABA UNIVERSITY, ETHIOPIA" }
