These developments create needs to optimize both the
\nutilization of the existing infrastructure and the coordination tasks inside the railway
\ncompany. Specially, the process times at stations should be well monitored to deliver
\nefficient services.
\nRailway timetable is affected by several factors. The fact that makes the case more serious
\nis that a disturbance encountered one train may propagate to the whole network unless a
\ntimetable that absorbs the fluctuation has been designed. This makes the railway timetable
\nto be the heart of railway operation. Hence, the thesis at hand is aimed to develop stability
\nanalysis method which is used to design more stable timetable to handle the disturbances
\noccurring to the railway network. In this research, both the interior and exterior factors
\nthat affect railway timetable stability were taken into account. In view of that, at the end of
\nthe research work, a model that is used to analyze trains timetable stability has been
\ndeveloped. The developed model is applicable to passengers’ railway network like Addis
\nAbaba LRT.
", "license": { "id": "cc-by" }, "title": "Railway Timetable Stability Analysis: Case of Addis Ababa LRT", "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "2949" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "2950" } } ] }, "communities": [ { "id": "aau" }, { "id": "zenodo" } ], "publication_date": "2014-09-01", "creators": [ { "name": "Asfaw Workineh" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "subtype": "thesis", "type": "publication", "title": "Thesis" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.20372/nadre:2949", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
