  "description": "<p>ABSTRACT<br>\nThe purpose of this study was to assess &ldquo;the effects of leadership styles on employees&rsquo; performance in the case of kobo town CBE employees. It used explanatory and descriptive research design and quantitative research approach. A questionnaire was administered to 186 employees and the respondents who were selected by using survey sampling. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS Software version 26. In addition, to analyze the collected data descriptive statistics (frequencies, means &amp; standard deviations), and regression analysis were used. The finding of this study indicated that leadership styles (Democratic, Autocratic,<br>\ntransformational and Laissez-faire) affects employee performance. Democratic leadership is the most practiced over autocratic and laissez-faire leadership style. In this study, all the four leadership styles had positive and significant effect on employee performance. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher recommends democratic leadership to managers in the working environment in the banking sector positive influence on employee performance; the practiced is less in comparison with democratic and autocratic leadership style. Thus, it is recommended implementing these two styles to improve performance of employees. There is relationship between employee performance and leadership style. Therefore, the management institute of the government has to make various efforts to improve leaders behaviors or/ways of leadership in order to enhance the institutional or organizational performance.</p>",
