Lack of diversified diets is a severe problem in the<br> developing world, where diets are predominantly starchy staples. Nutritional<br> status before pregnancy and Intake of diversified food during pregnancy are most<br> important since they are known to affect pregnancy and birth outcomes. There is<br> limited knowledge in the area of dietary diversity and. factors&#39; affecting it among<br> pregnant women.<br> Objective: The objective of this study was to assess dietary diversity practice<br> and associated factor among rural pregnant mother age 15- 49 years in Jille<br> Tumuga district April, 2017.<br> Methods: A community based cross sectional study was conducted among rural<br> pregnant mother in Jille Tumuga district. A total of 647 subjects were included in<br> the study by using cluster sampling technique. Data were collected using<br> structured and pre-tested questionnaire. A 24-hour recall was used to collect<br> information about dietary diversity. EPI data 3.1 software for data entry and<br> SPSS version 20 for analysis was used. Both bivariate and multivariable<br> analyses were employed.
