Lack of diversified diets is a severe problem in the<br>\ndeveloping world, where diets are predominantly starchy staples. Nutritional<br>\nstatus before pregnancy and Intake of diversified food during pregnancy are most<br>\nimportant since they are known to affect pregnancy and birth outcomes. There is<br>\nlimited knowledge in the area of dietary diversity and. factors' affecting it among<br>\npregnant women.<br>\nObjective: The objective of this study was to assess dietary diversity practice<br>\nand associated factor among rural pregnant mother age 15- 49 years in Jille<br>\nTumuga district April, 2017.<br>\nMethods: A community based cross sectional study was conducted among rural<br>\npregnant mother in Jille Tumuga district. A total of 647 subjects were included in<br>\nthe study by using cluster sampling technique. Data were collected using<br>\nstructured and pre-tested questionnaire. A 24-hour recall was used to collect<br>\ninformation about dietary diversity. EPI data 3.1 software for data entry and<br>\nSPSS version 20 for analysis was used. Both bivariate and multivariable<br>\nanalyses were employed.
