These issues have a
\nsignificant impact on the life cycle costs of the railway networks. The study of vehicle-track
\ninteraction is important in reducing the operation and maintenance costs, by increasing the life
\ncycle of both vehicles and tracks, and increasing the speed, safety and comfort indexes of the
\nrailway systems.
\nThis thesis focused on the analysis of effects of radius of curved rail on rail wear. Multi-Body
\nsimulation software SIMPACK is employed to create a one car railway vehicle model with two
\nbogies with an axle load of 10 ton. The rail material which is applied on the study is UIC 60
\nstandard carbon steel. To verify the simulation results, the SIMPACK model is run on varies
\ntrack radius (sharp curves) range from 100 m to 800 m under dry condition. Parameters like track
\nradius, wheel rail contact patch area, contact pressure, vehicle speed, wheelset yaw angle are
\ninvestigated to analyse there effects on rail wear
", "license": { "id": "cc-by" }, "title": "EFFECTS OF RADIUS OF CURVED RAIL ON RAIL WEAR", "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "1970" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "1971" } } ] }, "communities": [ { "id": "aau" }, { "id": "zenodo" } ], "publication_date": "2015-02-01", "creators": [ { "name": "Seid Abdulhakim" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "subtype": "thesis", "type": "publication", "title": "Thesis" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.20372/nadre:1970", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
