    "description": "<p>Introduction: Construction industry has a unique nature and considered as a<br>\ndangerous industry. Due to its characteristics, the promotion of safety management<br>\nand maintaining safe work environment is difficult and inadequate. Cost of injury and<br>\naccident incurred is higher in developing country like Ethiopia. Promoting and<br>\nmaintaining safety culture is a new way of decreasing workplace accidents and<br>\ncreating conducive environment in construction sector.<br>\nObjective: to assess the level of safety culture and factors associated with it in X<br>\nConstruction Company, Ethiopia, 2014.<br>\nMethods: An Institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted. The sample<br>\nsize of the study was 422 in X construction workers with a response rate of 95%.<br>\nThe data was collected by using interview administered NOSACQ-50 questionnaire<br>\nand review of records of accident report, OHS company documents and walk<br>\nthrough survey using workplace observation checklist to support the Questionnaire.<br>\nThe score of mean above 2.5 was considered as good safety culture and below the<br>\nmean as poor safety culture; as well the level of safety culture of the company was<br>\nindicated using mean score. Both Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression<br>\nanalysis were used to determine the degree of association by using odds ratio with<br>\n95% CI. ANOVA was also used to calculate the mean differences of X construction<br>\ncompany sites</p>",
