"description": "
Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are widely
\nrecognized for their contribution to economic
\ngrowth, employment and inclusive economic
\ndevelopment. However, the seasonality and risk
\nof agriculture significantly hurt the development
\nof agricultural enterprises. Evidence from Ethiopia
\nshowed that the relative performance of agricultural
\nMSEs are very limited in job creation and
\ngrowth. As a result, this study aimed to analyze
\nthe growth of agricultural MSEs in North Wollo
\nZone, Ethiopia. The study found that shortage of
\nworking capital, insufficient loans, increased input
\nprices, lack of adequate and reliable input supply,
\nand absence of sustainable government support
\nare perceived as the major challenges of MSEs in
\nthe study area. The results of a Multiple regression
\nmodel revealed that enterprise manager education,
\nnumber of employees, number of training,
\ncredit use, record keeping, and access to reliable
\nmarket positively affected the growth of MSEs,
\nwhile association ownership structure negatively
\naffected it.
",
