Hybrid chicken production involves breeding and raising chickens that result from crossing two or more different purebred chicken breeds to create hybrid or crossbred chickens. The research aimed to study and analyze the factors influencing hybrid poultry. The objective of the study was to identify the determinants of poultry production in Guba-Lafto woreda, Amhara, Ethiopia. The data were collected from 348 randomly selected samples out of a total of 2676 hybrid poultry farmers. The required data was gathered using well prepared and organized questionnaires and interviews. The research utilized both descriptive and econometric analyses. The researcher employed STATA and R4.4 software for data summarization and analysis. The chosen econometric model for fitting the data was the bivariate negative binomial regression model. The results indicate that initial capital, age, family size, disease occurrence, food shortage problems, predator presence, and market access significantly influence poultry production. Common diseases in poultry farming include &quot;Fengil&quot; Newcastle and &quot;Kufta&quot; Gimberow. Predators like &quot;Alage,&quot; &quot;Chilfit,&quot; and &quot;Kura&quot; are frequently observed animals that prey on chickens indiscriminately. The researcher concluded that the most frequent challenges identified in the study were disease, predation, food shortages, farming experience, and hybrid types, which were found to be statistically significant predictors. To maximize poultry productivity, it is recommended to implement disease control measures, improve market access, improve capacity-building training, and implement predator control measures</p></description> </descriptions> </resource>
