{ "description": "<p><em>This study was aimed at examining practices and challenges of construction project management in Fiche town. To this end, the study employed descriptive research design and mixed research approach. The study involved a total sampled 203 sample size and 194 (of which 162 males and 41 females) returned the questionnaire representing 95.6% return rate which was excellent return level. Construction project management involves a complex set of practices and challenges that require careful planning and execution. The study highlights the importance of effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and risk management in successful construction project management. It identifies the key practices that contribute to project success, such as establishing clear goals and objectives, developing detailed project plans, and monitoring progress regularly. The study also sought the challenges faced by construction project management, including tight deadlines, changing project requirements, and limited resources. It also examines the impact of external factors, such as regulatory requirements and environmental considerations, on project management practices. In this study, project practices issues such as project planning, project execution phase, project monitoring and control phase practices, and project closing phase practices were addressed. On the other hand, construction project management challenges that comprises of integration management challenges, scope management challenges, project schedule management challenges, project cost management challenges, project quality management challenges, project human resource management challenges, project stakeholder management challenges, project communication management challenges, project risk management challenges, and project procurement management challenges were the focus areas of the study. The study finding of the study shows that the aforementioned construction project management challenges are available in the study area.
