"abstract": "<p><em>The objective of the study was to determine the impact of the project manager's skill on the success of projects in the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Service Commission Central Ethiopia Branch Office (EECMY DASSC CES BO) located in Addis Ababa. Data was collected from 91 staff members working on projects at the EECMY DASSC CES BO through questionnaires. These questionnaires measured various skills of the project manager, including technical skill, leadership skill, interpersonal skill, communication skill, teamwork and team building skill, planning and coordination skills, and problem-solving skills, in relation to project success. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS version 25 software, employing techniques such as frequency analysis, percentages, mean calculation, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, and ANOVA. The findings of the study indicated that project success is primarily influenced by the leadership and interpersonal skills of project managers, followed by communication skills, technical skills, planning and coordination skills, teamwork and team-building skills, and problem-solving skills. The Pearson correlation analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between technical skills, leadership, interpersonal communication, teamwork, planning, coordination, and problem-solving. Based on these results, the researcher concluded that leadership and interpersonal skills have the greatest impact on project success among the examined project manager skills. The researcher suggests that organizations should prioritize the importance of these various skills when hiring a project manager in order to enhance the success of their projects. These skills include technical expertise, leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork and team-building skills, as well as planning and coordination skills.</em></p>",
