DETERMINANTS OF COOPAY-EBIRR ADOPTION BY CUSTOMER IN NORTH FINFINE DISTRICT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of Coopay-Ebirr adoption by customers in North Finfinnee District. Commercial banks in Ethiopia introduced Digital finance service technology. However, the numbers of users of the services are very small, even by African standard. The data was collected by administering questionnaire, interview and exploring documents. The collected information is analysing using quantitative and qualitative method of data analysis. The study was employed both descriptive and explanatory research design. Both primary and secondary data was employed. Data were generated from customers of the bank who was selected based on the study was delimited to convenience and purposive sampling techniques. Quantitative data are collected using a structured questionnaire and qualitative data are collected using a structured interview which has been developed and distributed to a sample of Coopay-Ebirr users. The quantitative data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential analysis. The findings of descriptive statistics have shown that, the mean score of Coopay-Ebirr adoption variables i.e. perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, Human resource, CT Infrastructure and Perceived risk condition. The assumption test were done and no multicollinearity. The major finding of the study was except Perceived risk there is a positive correlation and significantly related between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, Human resource, ICT Infrastructure and Coopay-Ebirr adoption. Based on the result of the finding of some recommendation were given as follow. The policy makers and the bank should concern on regulation about security issues, for protecting user’s information.
