DETERMINENT OF WHEAT PRODUCTIVITY IN DEGEM WOREDA, NORTH SHOA ,OROMIA

The study was aimed to determine the determinant of wheat productivity in Degam woreda of semen shoa. The study was based on cross sectional data collected in 2014/15 production season from 188 purposively selected farm household. In line with this, the main objective of this study is to examine the determinants of wheat productivity in Oromia regional state in case of Degam woreda the specific objective of the study would be to study the growth of wheat productivity. The paper has employed both descriptive and econometric statistics to analysis the stated objectives. The study found family size, land size and hiring agricultural laborer have positive affect on wheat productivity. Finally Access to credit from bank and hiring agricultural laborer is important in increasing the productivity of wheat and, recommendation is drowned for the concerned bodies.
