    <subfield code="a">&lt;p&gt;The Ethiopian economy is based on agricultural activity, which is mainly subsistent and encountered different socio-economic challenges. Stemming from this logical ground, this study aimed to conducted determinants of wheat productivity of farm households jida wereda,north shoa zone and 150 sample households had been selected by using systemic random sampling. The cross-section data collected was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis methods. Apart from this, the econometric model, Cobb Douglas production function technique was employed to analyze the determinants of wheat productivity. Wheat production in the jidda woreda is highly constrained by poor access to credit, low land preparation, poor quality mechanism, poor access to fertilizer and irrigation in the study area. Owing to this, the wheat farm households in the study area earn little economic benefit from their wheat produce due to lower rate of wheat productivity. Stratified, simple random and convenience sampling techniques were used to sample districts, sectors, cells and households. The descriptive result indicated that from respondents were asked whether wheat productivity was increase or not to the survey data and the result indicated that out of the 150 respondent 56.67 % said that wheat productivity was not increase while 43.33 % said wheat productivity was increase in the study area. Concerning to 56.67percent of households obtained agricultural input loans and remaining 43.33 percent of households didn&amp;rsquo;t obtain any of agricultural input loans. The result of regression analysis indicated that, livestock, irrigation, access to fertilizer, Access to credit, , household education and gender significantly affecting the wheat productivity in the study area, whereas Family size, land preparation and farming Experience insignificantly affecting the wheat productivity in the study area. The study gave implication government to revise its policies regarding land ownership issues, though complex in their very nature need also be keenly scrutinized and accordingly give smallholders an opportunity to use their land as collateral to obtain loans from formal financial institutions and should expand the experience of using irrigation in the study area.&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
