For the sake of achieving the objective of this study, cross sectional data was gathered through structured questionnaire from 115graduateself employment and 251 graduate unemployment and multistage sampling technique was used. The data collected from the structured questionnaire was analyzed through descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression analysis was employed. The descriptive result revealed that, all demographic and socio-economic explanatory variables had significant mean, chi-square and proportion difference between graduate self-employment and graduate unemploymentwho were self-employed. Result from logit model show that graduate self employment was considerably influenced by educational level, previous business experience, family business background, risk tolerance, social network and access to credit. On the other hand, gender, age, marital status, self-confidence, hard-working and managing stress were not found to influence graduate self-employment.
