Therefore, information that shows the magnitude
\nand predictors of occupational injury in most risky work places in Ethiopia such as metal
\nprocessing and working industries is indispensable to inform proper intervention programs to
\nhave healthy workforce and sound economic development.
\nObjective: This study is intended to assess the magnitude and factors affecting occupational
\ninjuries among workers engaged in large scale metal manufacturing industries in Addis Ababa.
\nMethod: Institutional cross sectional study was conducted in Addis Ababa from February to
\nMarch 2010. 50% of large scale metal manufacturing industries were selected by simple random
\nsampling after stratification. Then, calculated sample size was allocated for each industry by
\nPPS. And then, Study subjects were stratified by working sections and those who were directly
\nengaged in the work were selected from each stratum by simple random sampling after preparing
\na frame from payroll of those industries. Structured questionnaire was designed to collect
\ninformation on outcome variables and factors. Observational checklist and in-depth interview
\nwith key informants was held to triangulate the information with quantitative findings
", "license": { "id": "cc-by" }, "title": "Assessement of magnitude and factors of occupational injury among workers in large scale metal manufacturing industries in addis abeba", "relations": { "version": [ { "count": 1, "index": 0, "parent": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "3945" }, "is_last": true, "last_child": { "pid_type": "recid", "pid_value": "3946" } } ] }, "communities": [ { "id": "aau" }, { "id": "zenodo" } ], "publication_date": "2010-06-01", "creators": [ { "name": "YITAGESU HABTU" } ], "access_right": "open", "resource_type": { "subtype": "thesis", "type": "publication", "title": "Thesis" }, "related_identifiers": [ { "scheme": "doi", "identifier": "10.20372/nadre:3945", "relation": "isVersionOf" } ] } }
