Reservoir<br> operation is designed based on the interrelated hydrological, physical, and operational<br> parameters that have direct and indirect relation on the water resource activity to the<br> downstream of the reservoir.<br> In the next 30 years, water use will increase by 50% in the world. By 2025, about 4 billion<br> people will live under conditions of severe water stress (Gourbesvivelli, 2008).<br> Therefore, development of priority water infrastructures and improvements of water<br> management have essential and complementary roles in contributing to sustainable<br> growth and poverty reduction in developing countries like Ethiopia. One way of improving<br> water management is through increasing efficiency of dam reservoirs.
