  "description": "<p>This study is focus on factors affecting the implementation of electronic procurement: the case of Addis Ababa city Administration Bureau of finance. The main objective of this study is to examine factors affecting the implementation of e-procurement. The specific objectives are to analyze how top management commitment affect the implementation of e-procurement, to evaluate how employee competency affect the implementation of e-procurement, to examine how technological infrastructure affect the implementation of e-procurement and to determine how supplier&rsquo;s capacity affect the implementation of e-procurement in Addis Ababa city administration of finance bureau . This study followed a descriptive and explanatory research design. Both Quantitative and qualitative data approaches were used. The researcher has used both primary and secondary sources of data. Primary data were collected through self-administered questionnaires which consist of only closed-ended questionnaires from employee of Addis Ababa city administration finance bureau secondary data was gathered from articles, journals, research papers and books. A total of 110 questionnaires were distributed to respondents; 98 were collected and used for analysis, but 12 questionnaires were not returned by respondents. The Interview for three people of deputy manager of finance bureau, IT directorate and procurement and property administration directorate. Data was collected, and it was examined using both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The relationships proposed in the framework were tested using Pearson correlation; relations were analyzed using regression analysis utilizing the statistical package for social science version25.Based on the findings all independent variables positively correlation with e-procurement implementation and regression output results that top management commitment, employee competences, technological infrastructure are positively affect the dependent variable and Supplier&rsquo;s capacity negatively affect e-procurement implementation. The conclusion of the study is that top management commitment, employee competences, technological infrastructure, and Supplier&rsquo;s capacity have significant influence on the implementation of e-procurement in Addis Ababa city Administration Bureau of finance. Based on the study, in order to ensure effective implementation of e-procurement in Addis Ababa city Administration Bureau of finance, the researcher recommends that top management should be committed by leading e-procurement implementation process strategically, employees have to be enough qualified through training EGP and skill in ICT and their professional work and skill in ICT and their professional work, the organization must upgrade technological infrastructure by acquiring better hard ware material ,software application and networking system, at last at last supplier&rsquo;s capacity should developed by participating and capacity building and based on legal framework suppliers have to use the new system e-procurement implementation<br>\n&nbsp;</p>",
