    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;This study aimed to compare the analysis of multimodal transport &amp;amp; unimodal transport on operational performance of Ethio-Djibouti Railway Corridor(EDR). Data were collected from primary sources, including questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with EDR and Ethiopian Maritime Authority (EMA) experts, as well as secondary sources like EDR&amp;rsquo;s reports, manuals, and brochures. The analysis focused on key performance indicators such as cargo handling, cargo volume, customs clearance, traveling speed, train set, and freight ton-kilometers. Employing both descriptive and explanatory approaches with quantitative methods, the research involved 80 respondents and utilized descriptive analysis and linear regression. Findings indicate a positive and crucial relationship between multimodal transport and operational performance, suggesting improvements in rail transport performance within multimodal operations. The study compares the operational performance of unimodal and multimodal transport, revealing significant enhancements in efficiency and effectiveness with multimodal operations. It highlights the vital role of rail transport in EDR&amp;#39;s success as a multimodal operator and offers recommendations for further improving operational performance, along with suggestions for future research directions.&lt;br&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
