<dct:description><p>The purpose of this study is to study the effect of supply chain management practices on the organization performance: - in case of MDE bottling PLC Dire Dawa, Ethiopia. For this study Five key dimensions of Supply chain management practices (strategic supplier partnership, customer relationship, quality and level of information sharing and lean practices) were used as independent variables, while market and financial performance variables were used to measure the organizational performance. The researcher applied a descriptive research type and used a mixed research approach both quantitative and qualitative. Data were obtained via questionnaires from a sample of 64 people which worked in different functional area of the case organization. The researcher followed a stratified sampling and simple random sampling technique to use all the target population of 64. Correlation analysis between SCM practices and company performance showed that, internal lean practice (0.7083), level of information sharing (0.6792) and quality of information sharing (0.5056) have positive and strong effect to company performance with the statistical significant level, whereas Strategic supplier relationship (0.47030) and customer relationship (0.30350) have positive and medium effect to company performance. with the statistical significant level. The regression result show that the proportion of variance in dependent variable that can be explained by independent variable is 76.33 %, while other factors not studied in this research contributed 23.67% of the organizational performance on of MDE bottling PLC. The study is limited on some issues of supply chain management practices. This research can be further explored by adding more Supply chain management practice dimensions like BPR, JIT, and also formed a basis in carrying out a study on the effects of supply chain management practices on employee satisfaction in MDE bottling company.</p></dct:description>
