  "abstract": "<p>Corruption has posed multifaceted challenges to Ethiopia our country&rsquo;s development in general and Harari the study area in particular. This study investigates the downside of corruption and its effect on developments: with a particular emphasis on the case of Harari Regional State, Land Development and Management Bureau. In an attempt to achieve the objective of this study, the study draws upon primary and secondary sources of data were gathered to shed light to the crux of the Study. The data were collected using interview, questioner and observation process. The filed survey were arranged from 310 population size, in the selected both bureaus and customers, one hundred seventy four survey questionnaires were administered by stratified sampling survey which allowed confronting directly their opinions. The empirical study elicited major implication of corruption and its effect on developments: The finding of the study has attested that corruption has become a day to day practice and considered as &ldquo;normal&rdquo; transaction in terms of perception. Including in LDMB. From the findings of both primary and secondary sources, there need to be enhanced holistic anti-corruption efforts and reforms, commitment of leaders and experts, building of strong institutions and corruption prevention and enforcement mechanisms at all levels.</p>",
