"abstract": "<p>The aim of this study was to examine the effects of organizational culture on Dire Dawa public servant’s job satisfaction in case of Dire Dawa Administration Public Enterprises and Administrative Organizations.Descriptive and explanatory research design was used.The target population covered 507 permanent employees of seven public organizations and 220 was samples drawn. The Stratified sampling technique was used. The study used questionnaires as a tool for data collection. Two separate instruments Job Satisfaction Survey and Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument were used to measure job satisfaction and organizational culture respectively. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were employed to estimate the causal relationships between organizational culture and job satisfaction. Finally, the responses of the respondents were analyzed using descriptive Statistics, correlation, and regression. The findings of this study revealed that adhocracy culture and hierarchy culture was the dominant culture for Public Enterprises and public Administrative Organizations respectively. On top of this, there was a positive and moderate relationship between organizational culture and employees’ job satisfaction in both samples. In addition, the level of employees’ job satisfaction higher mean levels of organizational culture and job satisfaction in Public Enterprises than in Administrative Organizations. Associations between the two variables were significantly positive with small differences between the two stratums. So, the public Administrative organizations leaders should improve the level of employees’ job satisfaction, and retain them through actually practicing an effective type of organizational culture types and creating conducive environment for employees.The result of the study recommendsthat the organization should be encourage their employee to develop consistent culture through training and development program and employees to be innovative, creative and entrepreneurial.</p>",
