The most important factors affecting project performance were identified using the Relative Importance index based on responses from key project participants such as clients, consultants, and contractors. A questionnaire survey was conducted using 27 identified factors which are categorized into 4 groups. 175 Questionnaires were distributed, and 147 questionnaires were returned: The overall response rate was 84%. To achieve the objective of the study the researcher used both descriptive and explanatory research designs. The target population of the study was a consultant, contractor, and client who works on a condominium project in an industry site. The study used a survey method to assess the factors. The researcher used stratified random sampling. The results were analyzed using the Relative Importance Index (RII) to determine owners, consultants, and contractors' perceptions toward the identified performance influencing factors in construction projects. Accordingly, the top ten most important factors agreed upon by all parties were: Inadequate client, contractor, and consultant experience, Lack of Cost planning/monitoring during pre- and post-contract stages, and Weak communication and coordination among project participants as an RII of 0.8623, 0.8613, and 0.8514 respectively. The study found that independent variables showed significant relation with the dependent variable and the independent variables explain 76 % of the variance of the dependent variable.</dc:description> <dc:identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/19173</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>10.20372/nadre:19173</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>oai:zenodo.org:19173</dc:identifier> <dc:relation>doi:10.20372/nadre:19172</dc:relation> <dc:relation>url:https://nadre.ethernet.edu.et/communities/ddu-business-economics</dc:relation> <dc:relation>url:https://nadre.ethernet.edu.et/communities/zenodo</dc:relation> <dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights> <dc:rights>http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by</dc:rights> <dc:subject>project performance, project characteristics, labor and material, management action construction time, client, consultant, contractor, cost and quality</dc:subject> <dc:title>Factors Affecting Project Performance of Public Housings: Case of Condominium Housing in Dire Dawa City Administration.</dc:title> <dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesis</dc:type> <dc:type>publication-thesis</dc:type> </oai_dc:dc>
