Onion (Allium cepa L.) is a major bulbous crop among vegetables that belongs to the family Alliaceous, which was believed to be originated in southwestern Asia. In appropriate use of planting density and lack of evaluation of improved varieties across agro ecologies are the predominant factors that reduce the production and productivity of onion.
