<dct:description><p>ABSTRACT</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This study is conducted on Factors affecting the effectiveness of Public Procurement in public sectors of Dodola Town Finance office. The main objective of this study is to determine factors affecting the effectiveness of public procurement in Dodola Town Finance office. Primary data were collected by interviewing endorsing committee and questionnaires were addressed by the respondents from the public sectors and Procurement department. Purposive sampling technique was used to select town; stratified sampling technique was used to select user sectors and by simple random sampling technique 140 respondents of sample size was determined. Both descriptive and inferential statistic tools were used to analyze data using statistical package for social science (SPSS 25 version).The findings indicate that, there exists linear and positive significant relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. The independent variables (procurement planning, resource allocation, information technology and ethics) have significant effect on public procurement with 85.1 percent. The following recommendations to finance organization that release funds on a times: Employees update their understanding of information technology usage rate; improve professional ethics of honesty, accountability, and transparency, participating in provided training, customers identify the need on a time and suggestions for other researchers study should be on 14.1 percent countered factors, mainly on lengthy of procurement proceed and contract management. 7<br> &nbsp;</p></dct:description>
