    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;This study investigated to assess perception and adaptation strategies of wheat producing households to climate change and variability in the case of Sinana District, Bale Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia. The study combines both quantitative and qualitative data obtained from 191 sample size households&amp;rsquo; survey from four randomly selected kebelesdesk review, an in-depth interview and focus group discussions. Descriptive statistics and econometric models were employed for data analysis. 63.3% and the remaining households were not adapt to climate change and variability.Results of the multivariate probit model regression showed that access to climate information, on farm, farm land size, off farm income, livestock ownership, irrigated land size owned were factors affecting households adaptation strategies to climate change and variability to choose planting early maturing wheat type and change planting date. Education level of household head, off farm income and irrigated land size owned were factors affecting households&amp;rsquo; adaptation strategies to climate change and variability to choose change wheat variety. On the other hand, farm land size, off farm income and livestock ownership were factors affecting households adaptation strategies to climate change and variability to choose planting trees.The government should therefore, strengthen the households&amp;rsquo; adaptive capacity to climate change through planting early maturing wheat type, changing planting date, providing change wheat variety and planting trees householdshasanimportantadaptationstrategies.2&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
