IDENTIFYING THE MOST YIELD-LIMITING SOIL NUTRIENTS FOR SORGHUM (SORGHUM BICOLOR) PRODUCTION THROUGH OMISSION TRIAL IN SIRINKA KEBELE, HABRU DISTRICT, NORTHWESTERN ETHIOPIA

MAHIDER WODAJE; Endalkachew Fekadu

Unbalanced fertilizer application during crop cultivation will deplete soil nutrients, resulting
in a loss in crop yield and a deterioration of soil nutrients. Omission experiments are the
most practical and straightforward approaches for establishing the optimal fertilizer
combinations for a crops. This study was conducted in Habru district Sirinka kebele in the
2021/2022 cropping season with the objective of identifying the most yield limiting nutrients
for Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) through omission trial in Habru district. The test crop was
Sorghum (variety Melkam).Control, NPKSBZn, NPKSZn, NPKSB, NPKBZn, NPSBZn,
NKSZn, PKSBZn, and RNP were the treatments. The treatments were arranged in RCBD
with three replications.
