Many agricultural projects have succeeded and others have failed due to several prevailing reasons. Therefore, the general objective of the study is to identify factors affecting the successful implementation of agricultural projects in Girar Jarso District, North Shewa Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. The study used both descriptive and explanatory research designs. The study targeted to a population of 84 which include staffs member of district and Girar Jarso agricultural office, contractors, consultants, clients, kebele leaders, project committee,technical committee and senior enginers.The sample kebeles were selected purposively where agricultural projects are conducting. The study used census survey and primary data source. Both closed and open-ended self -administered questionnaires with five-point likert scale was distributed to the respondents. The collected data was analyzed through descriptive, and econometric model with the help of the Software Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 26.0. The analyzed data was presented with tables, figures and chart. The results of descriptive statistic show that majority of the respondents agreed that the implementation of agricultural projects was low in the study area. The result correlation analysis implies that all independent variables are significantly and positively associated with successful implementation of agricultural project. The result of multiple linear regressions shows that project fund, effective planning, project team competency and clarity in project scope had positive and significant effect on the successful implementation of agricultural projects at 1%,1%,1% and 5% respectively in the study area. So, the study recommended, it is better to employ the right sufficient person at the right place to minimize the burden of work from the workers and motivates the project team member to increase their commitment in performing their roles effectively. The study also recommended that it is advisable to clear understood of the project work plan to employees and stakeholders before starting the project implementation in order to reduce the communication gap within the stakeholders.
