Advancement of modified asphalt binder materials to develop the general performance of pavements has been the attention of numerous research efforts made over the past years. The use of discarded diatomaceous earth is one of the steps taken in this direction. Consuming the waste materials for road construction will not only result in significant on the enhancement of the construction material properties and save in material costs but also assist on the way to deal with the problems of discarding of such waste materials, which tend to be hazardous in as much as they can cause pollution on the environment. In the brewing process, Diatomaceous Earth functions as a filtration medium which is primarily comprised of discarded diatom frustules related to yeast and high molecular protein retained throughout the clarification process.
